1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Radcliff Design LLC, doing business as Good Luck N Life (“Good Luck N Life,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Good Luck N Life mobile application and related websites and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide and information generated when you use the Service:

  • Account information: email address and password (stored in hashed form, never in plain text).
  • Profile information: first name, last name, and age (to confirm you are 13 or older).
  • Phone number (optional): collected only if you choose to opt in to SMS reminders via our SMS opt-in form.
  • Checklist and reminder data: tasks on your personal “My List,” reminder frequencies, timezone, preferred reminder time, and related delivery history.
  • Push notification device token: used to deliver push reminders on your device.
  • Payment and access records: subscription/access status and Stripe customer or payment identifiers. Stripe processes card payments; we do not store full credit card numbers. Access codes you redeem are also recorded.
  • SMS consent records: opt-in timestamp, IP address, consent source, and consent version, retained for carrier and Twilio compliance.
  • Technical and security logs: IP address and server logs used for security, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention.
  • On-device document vault: if you use the document vault feature, photos and labels you save are stored locally on your device only and are not uploaded to our servers. Device biometric or passcode authentication may be used on your device to unlock the vault.
  • Butler chat content (optional): if you use the Butler assistant, the messages you send and related conversation context are transmitted to OpenAI to generate replies.

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or sell advertising in the app.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Create and secure your account and authenticate you
  • Operate the checklist and reminder features you request
  • Send push notifications and/or SMS reminders after you opt in
  • Process payments and manage annual access through Stripe (and access-code redemption)
  • Respond to support requests (including SMS HELP replies)
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law
  • Improve the Service and diagnose technical issues using our own server logs

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising. We do not use SMS for marketing or promotional blasts unrelated to task reminders you requested. We do not sell, share, or rent mobile phone numbers to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

4. How we share information

We share information with service providers only as needed to run the Service. These providers process data on our behalf:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Privacy Policy
  • Twilio — SMS message delivery (including the phone number you provide for reminders). Privacy Policy
  • Apple and Google (via Expo) — push notification delivery on supported devices
  • Heroku (Salesforce) — application hosting. Privacy Policy
  • OpenAI — optional Butler assistant chat. Message content you send to the Butler is processed by OpenAI to generate replies. Privacy Policy

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required).

5. SMS and push notifications

Push notifications: You may enable or disable push reminders in the app or through your device settings.

SMS reminders: SMS is optional. We send SMS only after you complete our public SMS opt-in form and actively check an unchecked consent box. Messages are transactional reminders about tasks on your personal list. Message frequency varies based on the reminder settings and schedule you choose for your tasks. Message and data rates may apply.

You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to a message, or by managing SMS settings in the app. Reply HELP for help. Opting out of SMS does not delete your account. You may re-subscribe through the SMS sign-up flow in the app.

6. Data retention

We retain account, profile, checklist, payment, and consent records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal data associated with your account within a reasonable period, except information we must keep for legal, security, billing, or audit purposes (for example, SMS consent records that carriers may require us to retain, or payment records needed for tax or fraud prevention). On-device document vault data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed password storage, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your login credentials confidential.

If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify affected users and applicable regulators as required by law.

8. Where your data is stored

The Service is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. Document vault photos you save remain on your device unless you export them.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at info@goodlucknlife.com and we will take steps to delete it. Users between 13 and 17 may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access or update profile information in the app
  • Opt out of SMS (reply STOP or use in-app settings) and push notifications
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Delete your account and associated personal data — available in the app’s account settings or by emailing info@goodlucknlife.com

To exercise these rights, use the in-app options or email info@goodlucknlife.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

11. United States state privacy rights

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights, including the right to know the categories of personal information we collect (described in Section 2), the right to access, correct, or delete that information, the right to data portability, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.

Good Luck N Life does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that basis. We collect and process the categories of information listed in Section 2 for the purposes listed in Section 3, and disclose them only to the service providers listed in Section 4.

You may submit a rights request by emailing info@goodlucknlife.com. You may use an authorized agent where your state’s law permits; we may require verification of the agent’s authority. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and where your state’s law provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.”

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email when appropriate. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
